New Beginnings.

So, I am back on this blog train. I won’t lie, I have started a few in my time. But this, THIS is a new beginning. I love the idea of documenting my life. So here it goes!

Today is Sunday. It has been raining most of the weekend. Not unusual for Seattle, but I am still adjusting to this liquid sunshine. We have had a really nice and warm fall and the cold and rain really only started two weeks ago. Not that anyone who may be reading this really cares about the weather. But hey, now you know. 😉

I spent yesterday cooking, baking and cleaning. I just recently changed to a plant based diet (this past August) and am having so much fun trying new recipes and ingredients. The goal is of course, to eventually be completely vegan. But that is a very large undertaking best done in small steps, I think. So, food first.

I also have been recovering from ankle surgery (also done this past August). I am in my 12th post-op week. My oh my how time flies! But also it goes really slow. August seems so long ago but also like it was just yesterday.

To add to my random ramblings, I also recently turned 30. That was/is a big milestone. I am still not sure how I feel about it. People keep telling me that your thirties are the new twenties. I don’t know if I can agree with them yet. To me that’s like saying coffee is the new tea. We all know coffee beats tea every time (at least in my book). I guess time will tell. It’s a new decade for me. Another new beginning.

I plan on posting a lot more about life, running, fitness, changing to a plant based diet, cooking, eventually becoming vegan, travel, and just about anything else that comes to mind. Turning thirty really made me feel like life is so short. And I want to remember everything. 🙂
